Respite Play Group

 Ages: 5-12
Dates: Every Saturday for 6 weeks
Time:10:00am -1:00pm                                              
Location: Chinguacousy Ski Chalet: Meeting Room
9050 Bramalea Road, Brampton, (Bramalea Rd/Central Park Drive)

 Fee: $60/per session or $50 per session when you pay for all 6 sessions  ** SSAH funds may be used for this service

All sessions must be chosen by the registration deadline

This group provides a great opportunity for children to develop social and play skills, explore fun new activities and make new friends while parents get the opportunity to enjoy some deserved time to themselves.

Staff Ratio:1:6 
 
Designed  for individuals who:

  • have a diagnosis of Autism /Asperger’s Syndrome
  • may require assistance with staying on task
  • can communicates wants/needs
  • do not require a lot of behaviour redirection





 All groups are led by qualified staff who have experience working with special needs children.

Social Skills Group

Age: 6-11
Dates: Every Monday for 6 weeks, 
Time: 6:00-7:30
Fee: $210  * SSAH funding may be used for this service
Location: Brampton Soccer Centre
1495 Sandalwood Parkway, Brampton (Dixie Rd/Sandalwood Pkwy E)

Children will be guided through the Model Me: I can do it™ curriculum where they will learn how to make friends, follow instructions, work as a team, appropriate social behaviour and much more. Staff Ratio 1:5

Each student will receive their own “I can do it™” workbook with take home activities you can do together that support each week's lesson.

 This Group is designed for children age 6-11 who:

  •  have a diagnosis of Autism /Asperger’s Syndrome
  • may need some help to stay on task
  • have verbal communication skills and can communicate wants and needs effectively
  • do not require a lot of behavioural redirection

Life skills group

Ages: 11-18
Dates: Every Thursday, for 6 weeks 
Time: 6:00 -8:00pm
Fees: $235 ** SSAH funds may be used for this
Location: Fortinos Community Room (upstairs)
35 Worthington Ave, Brampton (Bovaird Dr./Brisdale Dr.)

 In this group children learn the essential life skills that help them to build the skills necessary to transition them through the teen years and into adulthood successfully. Conveniently located in the Fortinos grocery store in Brampton, your child will have an opportunity to learn essential math skills through money management activities, budgeting, nutrition, how to  interact with store professionals, and all while having fun, making friends and building life skills that lead to greater independence. 

 Staff Ratio 1:5 

 *Healthy nut-free snacks will be provided during each session.

 This group is designed for individuals who:

  • have a diagnosis of Autism /Asperger’s Syndrome
  • are able to participate with minimal support. 
  • may need some reminders to stay on task, 
  • have verbal communication skills, and can communicate wants/need effectively.do not require a lot of behaviour redirection
