Behaviour Support Program: Behaviour Change


At Cornerstone Family Services we truly believe that negative behaviour is a child’s means of communicating an unmet need. We will help you discover what that need is and what skills are required to eliminate the negative behaviour.  Only when the need is identified can the correct skills be taught to develop a happy confident child.

 Who is it for: Parents/Caregivers  who  have children/youth aged 4-12 and are experiencing the following challenges such as;


  • Talking back, being disrespectful
  • Does not listen to what you say
  • Constantly fighting with peers/siblings
  • Hyperactivity
  • Anxiety
  • Hits, kicks, bits others
  • Temper Tantrums
  • Attention deficits 

Who is this for: Parents/Caregivers who have children/youth aged 4 – 16 with Autism/Asperger’s, and families that have a newly diagnosed child with Autism/Asperger

​​We provide consultation, resource materials and educational tools for parents to help:
* understand their child’s diagnosis and overwhelming information in psychological assessments 
* complete various government application forms for SSAH/IBI etc.
* Understand and advocate for your child in the educational system
* Find the right  local agencies/services that suit your specific needs

Starts at $20/hr



We offer various group sessions throughout the year in Brampton and Mississauga. Our group sessions will help children develop and  improve life skills, play skills, communication, cooperation, problem-solving, anger management, self-regulation and  much more. Register early, spaces are limited.

 **Special Services at Home (SSAH) funding can be used for all groups.
